Dhërmi Map — FAQ
How walkable is Dhërmi?+
Very. Dhërmi is a small beach village, and most of what's on this map sits along the seafront — the main beach, Drymades, the beach bars and places to eat are an easy stroll apart. The one real climb is up to the old upper village and the monastery on the slopes above, worth it for the views.
Where is the centre of Dhërmi?+
There's no formal town square — the heart of Dhërmi is the beach and the strip of bars, tavernas and guesthouses just behind it, with the older stone village on the hillside above. Most of the places plotted on this map cluster along the coast between Dhërmi Beach and Drymades.
Do you need a car in Dhërmi?+
For the village itself, no — the beaches and bars are walkable. A car is handy for reaching nearby coves and beaches and for day trips over the Llogara Pass to Himarë and beyond. In summer, buses and shared minibuses (furgons) also run along the coast road (the SH8).
Where is the nearest airport?+
There's no airport near Dhërmi. The nearest is Tirana International Airport (TIA), roughly a 3 to 4 hour drive north over the Llogara Pass. You can also reach the coast via Vlorë to the north or Sarandë to the south.
